UCS teachers are encouraged to submit Wellness entries based on originality and creativity, promotion of healthy lifestyle choices, program quality and the number of persons who will benefit. Points are awarded in each category to determine the winners.

Worksite Wellness grants are funded by the UEA Staywell Committee with proceeds raised at the group’s 5K Trail Run and Fitness Walk held each fall at Stony Creek Metro Park. In addition this year, Daude Family Chiropractic in Shelby Township and the Michigan Educational Credit Union in Macomb Township each contributed grants worth up to $250.
